William E. Condon , VMD

William Condon established Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital in 1972 with his classmate Kenneth Rix. Today, he is known for his straight-forward approach when dealing with both pets and their owners.

He has developed a special interest in soft-tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery.

He finds it is particularly satisfying to help both pets and their owners overcome a challenging medical situation.

He is a past president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medicine Association and remains abreast of important developments for veterinarians.

He lives in Portsmouth with his wife of 40 years as well as their Border Terrier named Harnish and domestic long-hair cat named Moo.

As a father of four children, he was active in many community organizations including the Portsmouth School Committee and local Little League. His passions outside the veterinary world include sea kayaking, photography and travel.
